We worked with designer Diane Roberts of DC Roberts & Associates on some of the feature elements of the Currant Restaurant and American Brasserie in downtown San Diego’s boutique Sofia Hotel.  From her sketches, we designed, fabricated, and installed a twenty foot long, ten foot tall,  and ten foot wide suspended light fixture using steel, aluminium, and 3-form resin panels.  The fixture’s shape rhymed with the curvature of the bar below and provided useful storage for over one hundred full bottles.  To complement this feature element , we fabricated matching curved shelving and a faceted, translucent screen, as well as a decorative steel handrail at the entrance, featuring a repeating pattern from the vintage upholstery theme.  On the exterior of the builing, we completed over one hundred lineal feet of ornamental steel railings on the boardwalk, topped off with antiqued stainless steel planter boxes.
